About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Structuring and Pricing Actuary to join our growing Global Life Financial Solutions team for Europe, Middle-East and Latin America regions.  This team is responsible for all financial solutions business globally for Life and Health. The position can be based in Dublin, London, Paris, or Zurich.

The role provides the opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of products and innovative reinsurance solutions in diverse markets and you will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development of our Global Life Financial Solutions team :

  • Develop, structure and market appropriate reinsurance solutions encompassing accounting, regulatory and economic risk-transfer aspects.

  • Technical development of pricing tools to analyses risk and profitability of life reinsurance solutions.

  • Contribute to the deal execution involving responding to RFPs, negotiating terms with clients and brokers, and prepare internal approval memos.

  • Work with the local Client Partners and EMELA Financial Solutions Lead to broaden client contacts and client base in the EMELA regions.

  • Prepare and make internal and external presentations on life reinsurance topics as required.

Moreover, you have the following background, skills and mindset:

  • Qualified life actuary with at least 8 years of relevant financial services industry experience.

  • Strong actuarial background in pricing life and health insurance / reinsurance and familiar in accounting standards (e.g., USGAAP, IFRS17).

  • Good knowledge of Solvency 2 is essential including awareness of some of the issues faced by insurers.

  • Comfortable in a client facing capacity as well as working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

  • Great communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Experience in actuarial pricing and structure bespoke reinsurance agreements will be ideal.

  • Fluent English speaker. Other European languages desirable.
