About the Role

We are looking for a Strategy & Communications Specialist to join the Strategy & Project Management team. We are looking for a highly motivated and seasoned individual with a strong background in marketing and communications, who is seeking a challenging job in a dynamic and growing global business. You will be joining a team whose mandate is to enable strategy development for the global Life & Health business, and to actively support its successful execution. You are an experienced marketing and communications professional with good business acumen; a strong communicator with expertise in providing decision support and insight to leaders. You work comfortably in a matrixed environment and do your work with integrity, passion and accountability.


This position will be based in our Toronto office. Your primary responsibilities will include: Supporting the development of the marketing strategy for Life & Health, and lead the development and execution of marketing in North America, working in collaboration with Group Marketing, the North America teams and outside agencies as required Leading the development and execution of the Life & Health business unit’s internal employee communication program Supporting the Head of Strategy & Project Management in managing the annual strategic planning process for the Life & Health business unit Working collaboratively with the global Life & Health team to support the successful development, management and execution of its strategy

Requirements

  • An experienced professional with communications and problem solving skills. Highly collaborative, consultative with strong interpersonal skills. You take ownership and are accountable. You will ideally have the following background and skills:

  • 7-10 years of experience working in a marketing or communications role in financial services

  • MBA or undergraduate degree in business, commerce, finance or a related discipline

  • Highly collaborative working style. Confident and comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Comfortable working in a matrixed environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
