About the Role
Manage the development, analysis, drafting, negotiation, maintenance and execution of treaties and addenda with reinsurance partners and retrocessionaires.
Utilize insurance/reinsurance knowledge and experience to define and propose treaty terms and concepts that sufficiently protect our company from undue risk and are consistent with the Proposal, Letter of Intent/Contract Summary Document, treaty template and industry standard. Ensure treaty language is clear and unambiguous.
Develop and maintain positive external client relationships through prompt delivery of accurate and professional service to our clients and professionally and ethically represent our company and its best interest.
Accurately and timely respond to inquiries and requests from clients and internal/external partners.
Work to resolve complex problems and issues by recommending courses of action that resolve differences between our company and its clients.
Facilitate the treaty language process and draw on other areas of expertise (Administration, Marketing, Claims, Underwriting, Pricing and legal) to finalize treaty language.
Independent Workflow Management and Business Continuity: Maintain an organized system to help with the management of the numerous drafts and versions of each treaty and addenda.
Internal Reporting: Create monthly reports for all outstanding treaties and addenda to track progress and pending work.
Primary responsibility for ensuring the final, correct version of each treaty is signed by both parties and fully executed and filed according to our procedures.

5+ years of life insurance and/or reinsurance experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Computer literacy and proficiency
Post-secondary diploma or equivalent
